When Tadhg Leader founded Leader Kicking to transition Irish GAA talent into American Football, MURR Media helped shape the original concept and captured the tour from the very first season in 2022 through the UPMC-sponsored 2025 national tour.

The Foundation

Over 50 Videos Delivered

Before the stadium finals and NFL scouts, there was the grind. Lee Murray worked alongside Tadhg from day one to develop video concepts and execute an aggressive content strategy.

This included producing podcasts, shooting Novibet kicking challenges with stars like Aidan O'Shea and Paudie Murphy, and capturing Elverys campaigns featuring Dean Rock.

The National Tour

8 Destinations. One Final. Donnybrook.

MURR Media captured the Leader Kicking tour across three seasons: 2022, 2023, and the UPMC-sponsored 2025 edition. Eight destinations across the country, each building toward a showpiece final at Donnybrook Stadium. High-energy coverage was produced for every regional event and the main stage.

It was during the 2023 tour that a young kicker named Charlie Smyth was discovered. He has since gone on to become the activated kicker for the New Orleans Saints.

The Culmination

PUNT: The Irish and the NFL

The incredible momentum generated by Leader Kicking eventually evolved into something much larger. Lee Murray went on to direct and shoot a feature documentary tracking four elite athletes (Rory Beggan, Mark Jackson, Charlie Smyth, and Darragh Leader) as they chased NFL contracts.

PUNT: The Irish and the NFL premiered on RTÉ One and became a testament to the movement that started in 2022.
